INNOVATIVE INDOOR DRONE VIDEOGRAPHY: A SKYCAM CASE STUDY

We wanted to share one of the more innovative jobs we have had recently. The enquiry was generated by Paul, our Hull-based franchisee, whose client runs a food production business and wanted a video of his new machinery, which automated grading lines. Paul enlisted the help of Mark from our Stamford franchise to support with traditional ground videography.

Flying a drone indoors has a number of additional risks, notably controlling a drone inside is more difficult. After a very thorough risk assessment, Paul completed several internal and external flights to film comprehensive footage of the grading line and the facility as a whole. This was supported by Mark, who recorded close-up footage of the line and filmed in areas where it would be too risky to use the drone. One of the highlights was the drone flying down the entire grading line, showing the end-to-end process.

After completing the work, Mark and Paul produced a short video for the client, which will be used for their social media and website. This was a great example of franchisees coordinating on a project, showcasing the teamwork and expertise that SkyCam brings to every job.

Professional drone services like those provided by SkyCam offer significant advantages. Drones can capture unique angles and perspectives, providing clients with high-quality footage that would be difficult to achieve with traditional videography alone. This project highlights the versatility of drone technology and the creativity of our team in overcoming challenges.

At SkyCam, we continuously strive to push the boundaries of what drone technology can achieve, whether indoors or outdoors. Our commitment to safety, innovation, and client satisfaction remains at the core of everything we do. If you have an unusual task or a challenging project, don’t hesitate to get in touch – we love a challenge!’
